Practice by Engagement

Participation in our community is central to how we work. We attend events and join conversations. We ask a lot of questions. We imagine, propose, and provoke ideas about the spaces around us.

Explorations in collaboration with students from the RISD and the Wentworth Institute of Technology - culminated in two public exhibitions: “What if Worcester…? / ¿Y sí Worcester?” (2024), and “Surface, Identity, Architecture” (2021)

We learn from the people doing the work.

We sit with members of the community. It is our goal to first listen to the challenges and desires of residents, organizers, activists, artists, and officials. We use our design tools as instruments for their experience.

We present our work in the city for the city.

Our proposals have included transit redesign for non-English speakers, city guides for unhoused youth, urban design for single parents, park spaces for weaving communities, short-term leased streets for civic action, and signage for forgotten histories.
